La Pavoni
This classic brand was founded in a small studio in Milan in around 1905 by Desiderio Pavoni. His first invention was patented by Luigi Bezzera on 1 September 1902; this led to the creation of the very first espresso machine in the world, which took pride of place in bar ‘Ideale’ in Milan.
In 1961 new plans were presented for the very first electric espresso machine for use in the home. This machine produced espressi approaching the quality of those being served in the better espresso bars of the time, and was named ‘Europiccola’. Later, in the 1970s, the professional line of electrical espresso machines really took off, with each new model improving on the last, right up to the machines we use today.
In short: Pavoni is characterized by tradition, convenience and a first class design.
